The idea of reaching the interstellar Space is already possible with our current space Technologies. In fact, we currently have Voyager 1 and 2 exploring our Interstellar Space. The Voyager 1 arrived Interstellar Space in 2012, while Voyager 2 reached the same milestone in 2018. But can we possibly attempt interstellar travel to reach another Planetary System to commence?

Reaching interstellar space is the first step, but reaching another Planetary System is far more complicated than we think. If we must attain such a milestone, we should plan a mission to visit Alpha Centuari, which is the closest star system to Earth. Despite being the closest star to us, Alpha Centuari lies at a distance of 4.367 light years from earth. With our most powerful spacecraft, it will take us about 18,000 years to reach Alpha Centuari.

So, if we must talk of reaching this milestone, we should look towards upgrading our propulsion Technologies, and advancing our rocket systems. Although, reaching another planetary System appears nearly impossible with our current Technologies, humanity may break boundaries and attain such a milestone in a few Centuries from now.

Future civilization may build generation ship to take both humans and highly sophisticated robots to our interstellar neighbor. Visit this post to see how humans will reach Interstellar Space using fututristic generation spaceship.
